The National park Kornati is the most densely gathered group of islands in the Mediteranean. It consists of 101 islands on a surface of 224 km 2 . With its wilderness look and feel it attracts nature lovers, yachtsmen and scuba-divers from around the world. The island coasts facing open sea are steep cliffs up to 80 meters high, that plunge verticaly into depths of over 100 meters.
